I don't actually remember my first Rocky Horror (I was four, my parents dressed me as an Unconventional Conventioneer), but the tradition where I grew up was to put a lipstick V on the virgin's foreheads (though some naughty individuals would use things like permanent markers) and line them up in front of the theater. We were to aim our things to be thrown at them, and I recall a cat-o-nine-tales used on the poor Vs if they didn't dance to the time warp.
